Do you have a dream for your life? If so, what is it?
Mine was to be part of a church where I would be able to photograph during services and events, and every day that passes I am still in awe that I found Freedom House Church.
This past weekend, Freedom House held their Authentic One Night, which is the one night version of their women's conference, called Authentic.
Our guest speaker, Marilyn Skinner of the Watoto Church and the Watoto Child Care Ministries in Uganda, came to Freedom house to speak to the women about her life, The Lord giving us dreams, and what to do with the dreams we have for our lives.
Before our guest speaker came up, we played a couple of games.
First off was the ice cream eating contest...
Following the ice cream eating contest, we had a lip sync battle. Our singers were Cabell "C-bell" Maxwell, Linsey Pittman, and Devona Reese. All three contests were hysterical and talented, but Devona ended up winning the competition.
After the conference ended, the ladies were escorted back to the lobby to enjoy some milk and cookies prepared by some of the men of the church.
So my question for you is, what is your dream? What is that vision for your life that you have? What is that goal for yourself that you're trying to reach?
My dream was to photograph at my church. I didn't know when I got the dream that it was meant for another place than where I was at the time. This dream didn't come to pass until almost a year from when I got it. If you'd like to know more about that, please visit my blog post, "...and somehow I ended up at Freedom House."
Two of my new dreams are to work full-time in my wedding photography and to one day travel out of the country to Africa to photograph churches over there.
We'll see what the future brings...
